Overview

The Fazaia Journal of Health Sciences (FJHS) accepts manuscripts prepared in accordance with ICMJE guidelines. Please follow the instructions below carefully before submission.

Mandatory Documents

  • Cover Letter (title, author details, declaration of originality)
  • Disclosure of financial support and conflict of interest statement
  • Signed by the corresponding author
  • Institutional Ethical Approval Certificate

General Instructions

All manuscripts must be uploaded as MS Word documents, typed in Times New Roman, size 12, with double spacing.

  • Follow IMRAD structure: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion.
  • Include abstract, keywords, references, tables, and figures.
  • Similarity index must be under 19%.
  • Copyright is transferred to FJHS upon publication.

Manuscript Categories

  1. Original Article — 2000–2500 words, structured abstract (250 words), up to 25 references.
  2. Systematic Review & Meta Analysis — 2500–3000 words, abstract (150 words).
  3. Short Communication — 1000–1200 words, 2 tables, up to 6 references.
  4. Editorial — Invited only, up to 400 words, 5 references.
  5. Case Report / Case Series — 1000 words, 10 references, 1 table or figure.

Review Process

Initial Assessment: All submissions are screened for required documents, formatting, and plagiarism (<19%).

Peer Review: Double-blind review by two external experts. The process takes approximately two weeks.

Pre-Submission Requirement

Before submitting via OJS, authors must complete the following:

  1. Fill out the Pre-Submission Google Form available on the OJS submission page.
  2. Register for an OJS Author Account using the same email address.
  3. Ensure all manuscript files and ethical approvals are ready before submission.
